79th St. Boat Basin (Uptown)
Our uptown location is directly on the Hudson River, just west of Riverside Drive on 79th St. on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Its a very easy walk from the Subway at 79th St. and Broadway (1 Train), and there is a passenger drop-off area just steps from our entrance.
Meeting Point
For all sailboat charters and sailing lessons (excluding sailing camp) an Atlantic Yachting crew-person will meet you at the entry to the Marina five minutes before your scheduled sail time. The marina is directly in front of the Boat Basin Cafe and the main entrance is the center gate, just to the left of the boat house if you are facing the water, right beneath the flagpole flying the American flag.
Walking Directions
Walk west on W. 79th St. until you cross Riverside Drive and see a green, highway overpass (the Hudson River Parkway). Continue on 79th St. walking under the overpass. On both sides of the street, just after the overpass, are staircases leading to the Boat Basin Cafe. (The staircase on the north side of 79th Street is wheelchair accessible.) Walk down the stairs, into the cafe and continue west through the dining area and onto the balcony. On either side of the balcony are stairs down to the West Side Bicycle Path. The marina is directly in front of the Boat Basin Cafe on the edge of the Hudson River.
You can also reach us by taking a very pleasant walk up or down the West Side Bicycle Path towards 79th St. from any point on the West Side of Manhattan.
