Chris Sabbatini

Chris grew up in Annapolis, Maryland, surrounded by a sailing community in a place where the US Sailboat Show is an honorary local holiday.

For Chris, the sailing bug started when he was young, sailing with his dad out to the Channel Islands off the southern coast of California. He moved to Annapolis in middle school, certified on Lasers, and then progressed to knockabouts/J24s. He continued recreational sailing during his time at the Naval Academy and was also a competitive rower with the lightweight crew team.

After graduation, he served in the Navy aboard a US warship for two years, then completed ten years as a Navy SEAL, spending time above, in, and under water. When not sailing, he enjoys running, biking, cooking, and an occasional winter surfing trip to Long Island.
